A little about me...

Soooo....you have a journal but never know what to write, or you've kept a journal and it only sort of helps. Maybe, it's time to try a different type.

Journaling has always been my go-to place, a best friend that's helped me think through my many daily struggles. While I appreciated paper friendship, the way I journaled allowed me to stay in my head; technically that means I was intellectualizing my feelings instead of feeling them (confusing, I know). It was only when I had to defeat depression that I learned to journal for emotional awareness and 'regulation' (a trauma term to describe when we stop running from ourselves). The adjustment I made to my journaling was in a word: game changing and why I like sharing it with others.

Donna L, Session participant
To be honest, I didn't know what to expect from the journaling session I signed up for, but it ended up uncovering the things I needed to know about myself. I've been buying art materials ever since.
